Shuanggui is an extra-legal form of detention used on members of the Chinese Communist Party, and in some instances on ordinary citizens alike.
Western scholars have hypothesized the existence of secret forms of detention used by the CCP for more or less three decades. Using documentary sources, I've proved its existence, reconstructed its history and traced its development.
The first scholarly study of shuanggui (submitted to the China Journal in May 2006, rejected, submitted to China Information in late 2006, accepted for publication in March 2007, published March 2008) will be presented on August 31, 12:30, at the Max-Planck Institut (Hamburg) at the First Annual Conference of the European China Law Studies Association.
Lo shuanggui è una forma di detenzione illegale. E' usato nei confronti dei membri del Partito Comunista Cinese, ed in alcuni casi anche per le persone comuni.
Da circa trent'anni, i Sinologi hanno ipotizzato l'esistenza di forme di detenzione usate dal Partito Comunista. Io ho dimostrato la loro esistenza, utilizzando fonti documentali.
Il primo studio scientifico sullo shuanggui verrà presentato alla Prima Conferenza Annuale della European China Law Studies Association. il 31 Agosto al Max-Planck Institut, Amburgo, ore 12:30
