Article 226 (Buying or selling by force) Whoever commits one of the following acts by violence or intimidation, if the circumstances are serious shall be sentenced to not more than three years fixed-term imprisonment or criminal detention and shall also or shall only be fined. if the circumstances are particularly serious, he shall be sentenced to not less than three years and not more than seven years fixed-term imprisonment, and a concurring fine:

  1. forcing the purchase or sale of goods;
  2. forcing a third person to provide or receive a service;
  3. forcing a third person to take part to or to withdraw from a tender or an auction
  4. forcing a third person to transfer or to purchase enterprise or company shares, bonds or other property
  5. forcing a third person to enter or leave a specific field of business

Article 226 Whoever buys or sells commodities by violence or intimidation, or compels another person to provide or receive a service, if the circumstances are serious, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention and shall also, or shall only, be fined.
